Viis Papeista is a band formed by churchmen from Southwest Finland who believe in rock ‘n’ roll, blues, and jazz. The band’s own songs tell stories about the present day, often with playfulness. Viis Papeista was founded to bring joy to people and to break down barriers and prejudices. The band features Pasi Salminen, the vicar of Rusko; Riku Laukkanen, the vicar of Loimaa; Jukka Järvensivu, the vicar of Paattinen; Petri Laitinen, the vicar of Laitila; and Veikko Sailola, the curate of Rusko.
